The Berchtesgadenerland National Park is one of the most spectacular places in Germany. The village of Schonau am Konigssee lies in the middle of the park between 2700m high mountains and crystal-clear mountain lakes. This natural park is the only alpine nature area recognized by UNESCO for its unique habitat. It has wildlife such as the ibex and eagle and plants such as the edelweiss. The steep Watzmann mountain-side is most impressive and offers excellent walking opportunities. It is covered in snow for a large part of the year. You can get to great heights on the Jennerbahn and from there go on a variety of walks through the alpine landscape. The spacious and comfortably furnished holiday homes are at the edge of Schonau. They are in 2 houses next to each other. All holiday homes have marble or stone floors with part floor heating.
